The Commission has just opened two consultations related to the POP regulation.

The consultations are related to:

• The update of the Annex I of the entry concerning the polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). This initiative aims to amend the limit value for the presence of PBDEs in mixtures or articles.
• The update of the Annex I of the entry concerning the Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). This initiative aims to amend this entry by specifying an unintentional trace contaminant limit value, which is the maximum concentration at which PCB may be unintentionally present in substances, mixtures or articles.

Both consultations are opened until 18 March 2025.
