New open consultation
Commission just opened a consultation related to Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts and PFOA-related substances.
Those substances are generally banned in the EU and globally, but there are some time limited exceptions.
This initiative aims to amend the POP Regulation concerning this entry. This amendment will postpone the date of the ban for fire-fighting foams and propose new concentration limits as an unintentional trace contaminant.
The consultation iso pend until 6 December.
